Ground rules for using Commerce Stack Guide.
Effective August 20, 2026. These plain-language terms describe the ground rules for using Commerce Stack Guide and its moderated review system.
Informational use
Commerce Stack Guide provides software research, directory listings, comparisons, reviews, and editorial guidance for general informational purposes.
Confirm details before buying
Software needs vary by business. Visitors should confirm pricing, features, integrations, contracts, security requirements, support details, and implementation needs directly with vendors before purchasing.
Changing information
Vendor products, plans, pricing, integrations, and policies can change. Commerce Stack Guide may update, remove, or revise content as better information becomes available.
Vendor submissions
Submitting software information gives Commerce Stack Guide permission to review, edit, summarize, and publish relevant listing details. Submission requires review and does not guarantee inclusion.
Monetization
The site may use affiliate links, vendor-submitted listings, and future sponsored placements. Paid relationships should be disclosed and should not be treated as editorial endorsements.
Review account eligibility
A reviewer must be legally able to accept these terms, control the account used to sign in, and provide accurate account and professional context. Accounts may not be shared, sold, automated, or used to impersonate another person or organization. Signing in does not guarantee eligibility to submit or publication of a review.
Review promises
By submitting a review, the reviewer confirms that they personally used or evaluated the named software within the stated period, the review honestly reflects that experience and is their own work, required relationships and invitation details are accurate, and the content does not violate another person's privacy, intellectual property, confidentiality, or other legal rights. Reviews may not be submitted for a vendor, competitor, review broker, or another person.
License for review content
The reviewer keeps ownership of their original content and gives Commerce Stack Guide a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, display, distribute, and create faithful excerpts or aggregate statistics from the review for operating the review service. Commerce Stack Guide may not use that permission to change the review's meaning. Commerce Stack Guide may restrict or remove use when required by law, privacy obligations, safety, or the Review Policy while retaining limited audit, legal, security, and service-continuity records described in the Privacy Policy.
Moderation and availability
Submission does not guarantee publication. Commerce Stack Guide may request information, reject, redact, temporarily hide, remove, restore, or return content for correction under the Review Policy. These decisions must not favor a rating, vendor, affiliate partner, advertiser, or sponsor. A vendor disagreement with an honestly stated opinion does not by itself require removal.
Submission finality and privacy requests
A reviewer may correct or abandon a draft before submission. Submission is final: the reviewer account does not permit later editing, deletion, withdrawal, or export of the submitted review. A reviewer may use the contact process for a legally required access, correction, deletion, or other privacy request. Commerce Stack Guide may retain limited records where reasonably needed for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, consent history, or to prevent removed information from being restored accidentally.
Acceptable use
Visitors may not misuse forms, submit fake, purchased, copied, brokered, automated, or third-party-authored reviews, manipulate ratings, create duplicate accounts, coordinate abusive reporting, impersonate another person or company, seek private reviewer information, threaten or pressure a reviewer, interfere with security controls, or scrape or republish review identity or content at unreasonable volume.
